Message of the day: The Good News – the Just Forgiveness of Sin

God is a morally perfect being. We see the evidence of this in the Life of Christ, in the wisdom of the Old Testament law, the Torah, and in the fact of Creation – to be the Creator and speak our exquisite Creation into being, he has possess that the Psalmist called the ‘beauty of holiness.’

Our sins are moral errors, where we have departed from the moral rightness and fairness of God and tried the alternative: selfish satisfaction to the exclusion or hurt of others.

Before the Judgment of Almighty God our consciences condemn us. This is mankind’s biggest problem.

God offers the solution to that problem. He made this possible by taking the just penalty for sin upon Himself. As Creator, Lawgiver, Judge and Perfect Being he was in the unique position to be able to do that on our behalf.

Jesus said this: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, in order that everyone who believes in him might not perish, but may have everlasting life. For God did not send the Son into the world in order that he might judge the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. He who believes in him is not judged. He who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

Our response is this: to believe. To believe in what God has done. To believe He did it for you and me also.
