Lord fights for you

Exodus 14:14 – The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.

In this verse Moses tells the Israelites “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” At that moment they were standing at the edge of the red sea and the Egyptian army was behind them. The Israelites were seemingly in an impossible situation, but the Lord Himself brought them in this situation. Because God wanted to make it crystal clear to Egyptians and Israelites that He is the Lord, and He gets all the glory. God wanted to teach Israelites that He is their Deliverance and their Salvation and they were incapable of escaping the situation on their own, they needed to wait for God to move on their behalf. God commanded the wind of the heaven and waves of the sea and tore the sea apart and fought their battle and took care of them and the enemy was drowned in the sea.

As believers if we learn from this account, it can be life changing and powerful. When we Christians trust God that He will fight our battles, it helps us to overcome the panic, fear, negativity and hopelessness from the enemy. There are times when we can’t see a way around a problem, a situation; we jump into, just like Israelites when they were cornered. When we see no way out, we should believe in God’s word as Christians that no battle is difficult for our God to handle.

We should be still, quiet, ease in our minds and silent. And not express fear, panic, negativity and hopelessness but trust in Him that God is in control and fights for us. As God split down the red sea, provided way of escape to the Israelites, He will do the same for you and me. Dwell in His Word and promises. He will never leave you behind. Our God is victorious and so are you in Him. We need to put our trust in Him and let Him fight and be in Control of everything.

May God bless you and help you walk in Him and understand His word as you follow Him. Amen
