Why God Chose His Own Son To Be Sacrificed

                  God bless you today and welcome to another segment with Jesus Christ for Muslims. We are so glad that you are with us today and want to grow with you in our Christian walk. What we are doing today is addressing questions that have been sent to us from you the audience and we are here to answer them based on the Word of God, based on the Holy Spirit giving us wisdom and understanding, and I hope that through this time that we answer these questions you grow together with us. I want to say that I am not perfect, I do not know at all, for sure I do not know at all, but I do know that God gives us wisdom and understanding to answer our questions. So here is the question for today;

Why did God choose his own son for sacrificing?

Why could not He have chosen another way to forgive His people?

Why was Jesus used as a scapegoat?

                 Those are good questions. The first answer to that question is what the Bible says in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, He gave His one and only begotten Son, for those of us who believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life”. God wanted to reconciliate the relationship with you, with me in such a level in such a point that He gave the best He had which was His one and only Son so there could not have been another substitute that He could have sent. He had to send that which had more value for Him which was His Son Jesus Christ. No other person in this world, no other person out there will be acceptable to God but Jesus His only Son.

                Jesus himself said in John 14:16 “I am the way, the truth and the life and no one goes through the Father if not through Me. See, He knew why He was sent here, and He was not complaining about it. He left his Heaven, His Throne, His Majesty, all that He had in the Heaven, He gave it up to come here do one very, very important thing for you and for me so then we could have relation with God. He knew that those things that were a shortfall or a short coming for you and me in this Christian walk, He was there to fulfill it for us, for us to allow Him to come into our lives so that then we could live to the statutes of measure that God has for those are with Him. if there had been any other way that God could have accomplished this reconciliation with men trust me He would have done it because I believe even God suffered through all this situation that Jesus went through, when He died on a cross, when He was filled with yours sins and my sins upon someone who was completely sinless, someone who was perfect, He was made sin, He was made someone terrible because of you and I. He took our punishment, and I am sure if God would have known there was different other way that He could have accomplished this reconciliation with Him He would have done it but He knew that there was no other way it had to be someone as perfect, as pure, as Jesus Christ.

                  Let us see what Hebrew 2:14 & 15 says “Because God’s children are human beings made of flesh and blood the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could He die, and only by dying could He break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could He set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying”.

                  So, see someone Heavenly, someone divine had to be sent to this earth so that then He could understand this, then He could relate to us, then He could fully fulfill what God wanted from men which is someone who is perfect someone who would worship Him and praise Him and live without sin and without any kind of fault, and the only person who could done that was Jesus Christ.

                   The Bible talks about so many other prophets so many other people that were on this earth, that lived their lives trying to serve the Lord perfectly but none of them could do it. They all failed. You know my mind goes back to king David. The Bible says that he was a man after God´s own heart because he loves in such a way that he portrait the love of God but yet David was full of faults. David had a lot of sins. He could never be the one that makes you and I right before God. Any other prophets you might mention, even though how God use them in such beautiful ways they still had their faults but when it comes to Jesus, the Bible says that the Lord Himself will say; “this is my Son in whom I am pleased.”

                 You see it had to be someone who fulfilled the requirement of the Heavenly Father, a Holy Father, a most powerful Father that we know in God and the only one who could do it was Jesus. He lived that perfect life and He was willing to leave everything behind, come to this earth, die for you and me, be obedient to Lord even to the obedience of dying on the cross for you and me. Why? Because he loved us in such a way that He wanted us to be reconciled with God. So there could not be another substitute, there could not be nothing else that could make us perfect before the Lord.

                 You know the Bible says in Hebrews that when you and I want to approach God in our prayers, the Bible says that you and I should have the confidence of approaching the throne of grace of God through Jesus Christ because you see when God sees you and me He does not see you and I just the way we are He sees you and I covered by Jesus Christ, and when He sees us covered by Jesus Christ then He sees you and I who are imperfect, who are full of faults, He sees us perfect before God, He sees us pure without sin, without fault, not because of what you and I have done but because of Jesus and what He has done and how He is then carrying us with all that He is.

                  So I encourage you today. If you have not lived your life under the covering of Jesus Christ, ask Him to be your Lord, ask Him to be your Savior, ask Him to come about you and discover you so that then you might approach the throne of grace of God in such a way, in such a boldness that you know that you do not go up there by your own merit, you do not go up there by the good things that you have done but rather you go there by the perfection. Listen to this; you go there by the perfection of what Jesus Christ has done and He is over you then you can make sure that God listens to your prayers and is able to answer them according to His will and glory. So we love you, we encourage you today to continue growing with us in your Christian walk.
