Persecution – Part of a righteous and Godly Christian life

Praise the Lord because He is good and His mercy is forever.  In 2nd Timothy chapter 3 it is written; in fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

If you are a righteous and true Christian you must understand and accept the reality that the life of Christians is not the bed of roses. The same law applies to all, that all believers would be persecuted. Instead of misleading Jesus had told us clearly that for my name´s sake people will insult you, and utter all kinds of evil falsely against you because of me. Rejoice and celebrate, because great is your reward in heaven. Why were we told about these sufferings? Was it the will of God that these sufferings become part of our life? No, the reason behind these sufferings is that we live on a planet where God’s system is missing. That’s why Jesus told us to pray like this “Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name, Thy kingdom come.”

The Kingdom of GOD has not arrived yet on the earth. Until Jesus does not return to the earth, the Kingdom of God will not be established on earth. When He arrives the Kingdom of God will also come. At that time not only the believers but others would also not go through suffering because in His kingdom God will save everyone from suffering. That’s why in today´s world for being Godly and righteous people, and for willing to live a righteous life, we shall have to face sufferings that come from Satan and the worldly system. because we can´t lie, we can’t earn money through wrong means, we can’t support the lie, we face opposition on every step and Satan provokes people to stand against us, that’s why being Christian is not a usual thing, it is an extra ordinary thing.

You must be ready to suffer, remember that Jesus said, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” If you are coward you won´t be able to enter in the kingdom of God. In the last chapters of the book of Revelation you can read about those who won’t enter into the kingdom of God. Amazingly those who top that list are cowards. If you’re coward then you are not worthy of God. If you are afraid of suffering then you can’t be a Christian.

Suffering may appear in any form. Your own son may hurt and accuse you that you become disheartened, you may be tortured in any form by you wife or husband. Your own siblings may go against you, your government may oppose you, and your neighbours may turn against you. You may face problems in doing business you may suffer in every aspect of life but if you are strong in faith and Jesus is part of your life, if Jesus is your nucleus and you live a Jesus Centric life then you are out of trouble because Lord will strengthen you to overcome. That’s why it is written in the Word of God ‘’the one who lives in you is greater than the one who lives in the world’’. If Jesus lives in you then you don´t have to be afraid of suffering. May God bless you.
